This Halloween will mark the 10 YEAR anniversary of Outkast's 2000 album, Stankonia. 10 years kids. That's nuts considering how often we still reference this album today. Its far from obsolete...in fact, the chorus to Big Boi's new track "Daddy Fat Sax" is built from Big and B-Real's rhymes on "Xplosion", which was already a great song, now given new life on Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.

It was also the album that had the most Outkast "hits". Think about it - "So Fresh, So Clean", "B.O.B.", goddamn "Ms. Jackson", a song that, if there is any justice in the world, will live on every "Top Ten Rap Songs of All Time" list...for all time. Still blending their own freaky styles, they proved that freaky could be popular long before the Lady Gagas of the world. None of the songs on Stankonia, especially "Ms. Jackson" compromised their sound for one split second, and the whole world loved it - from the hood, to the suburbs. From yourself to your grandma, everyone was singing that "Forever? Forever ever? Forever ever?"

In addition to the hits that ended up on the radio, tracks like "Humble Mumble", "Gasoline Dreams", and "B.O.B." were real, actual next steps for the hip hop genre, and ten years later, rappers are still trying to replicate that style.

Alright, this Halloween, let Stankonia be your soundtrack. Dress up like Andre and dress your girl up like the one printed on the CD and celebrate 10 stankin-ass years of Stankonia.

Also, share some of your favorite moments from the album in the comments, here's a start.

1. One minute 35 seconds into "Humble Mumble"

2. "Takin them hoes to the cheesecake factory, lettin them hoes order strawberry lemonade and popcorn shrimp, they ain't gonna do nothin but try and get all your motherf&%@in' cheese!" -"We Luv Deez Hoez"
